In my ClubLink Update #23 from February 24th, I shared that the City notified Imperial Tobacco Canada Limited (“Imperial”) of its application with the Superior Court for enforcement of the Forty Percent Agreement.
Imperial has now advised the parties that it will be seeking to be added as a respondent to the City’s application. Before this can occur, a number of procedural hurdles need to be cleared. The City hopes to be in a position to ask the court for new hearing dates later this month. We do not yet know when the application will be argued. We hope to have more information to share late this month.
