Ontario Mandated Non-Essential Business Closures

Yesterday, Premier Ford announced that all non-essential businesses will close tonight, Tuesday March 24th at 11:59 p.m. to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and increase the level of social distancing participation. All non-essential businesses are encouraged to continue to operate using different business models. Those who work remotely will not be ordered to cease operations. 

Essential businesses include but are not limited to; grocery stores and pharmacies, telecommunications and IT service providers, essential transportation, and utility and community services. A full list can be found here. All essential businesses that remain open are reminded to put in additional health and safety measures to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Please visit the Ottawa Public Health website for all the latest resources concerning COVID-19.
