Kanata North COVID-19 April 24 Volunteer Update

This email was sent to all registered volunteers. If you have not registered, you can do so here

Good evening neighbours,

This week is National Volunteer Week and I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has reached out and signed up to help our community. It is heartwarming to see that over 200 volunteers have now raised their hands and are ready to support our neighbours.

Even though the demand for help remains low, we have now fulfilled over 50 requests for help in the last few weeks. From grocery needs, errands, dog walking, making masks, to delivering them for the vulnerable in our community, and so much more. This would not have been possible without many of you taking the time out of your day to help.

If you know someone who needs assistance, has come home from a trip, or elderly that you believe should be checked on, please encourage them to complete the form online.

Your commitment has made a real difference. I know our community deeply appreciates all the support it has received, and I thank you for your kindness and your generosity. We will continue this program for as long as there is a need in our community as it is important to ensure that everyone is well supported.

Stay healthy and please do not hesitate to reach out should you have questions or concerns.

Many thanks,

Jenna Sudds
