Last week, I shared that ClubLink and their partners Minto and Richcraft resubmitted their amended development application documentation to the city. You can view their applications here.
Today, I’m providing our community with a brief update on the planning process to ensure you have the latest information.
Part of the required documentation that ClubLink and their partners Minto and Richcraft were required to submit was their response to the technical comments provided to them after releasing their first application. As I shared in a previous update, the over 200 technical comments demonstrate the complexity of their application and called into question the assumptions that ClubLink had made in their previous studies and submissions. You can read their response to the technical comments here.
I know that we have a planning team that is dedicated to this file and will review the responses to the technical comments in detail. As outlined in my previous update, our community can expect the following:
Next steps include:
- Seeking community feedback and comments on the revised documentation by August 31, 2020.
- Staff internal circulation and review for comments.
Following the above:
- City staff will respond to any further outstanding technical issues directly to the applicant. It is not abnormal for a file of this complexity to require several rounds of reviews.
- Once all technical issues have been addressed, staff will make a recommendation either to approve or deny the application and a report will be sent to Planning Committee for their consideration. The public will be informed and invited to participate in the Planning Committee. I will be sure to notify you when this is scheduled. I do not expect this to happen this year.
As always, I will continue to provide more updates as I have them.
