The City of Ottawa has received a proposal from an applicant for a Zoning By-Law Amendment on the property at 706 March Road. This Zoning By-law Amendment application is to facilitate the development of a large format retail food store, a multi-tenant commercial building, and a drive-through restaurant on the site.
This property was previously owned for many years by Algonquin College; however, their plans to develop it never materialized. Within the last couple of years, the property was sold.
The owner has submitted a proposal to rezone the site from General Mixed Use Zone (GM[220]) and Local Commercial Zone (LC7[1516]) to General Mixed Use Zone (GM).
