I’ve dedicated much of my life and career both in the public and private sector to working for my community and advocating for local businesses—these are two things I am deeply passionate about. I am happy to share that today the Mayor announced that I will be joining the Board of Directors at Invest Ottawa, a role that enables me to continue supporting economic growth in our city.
Prior to being elected as a City Councillor, I worked closely with Invest Ottawa when I was the President and Executive Director of the Kanata North Business Association. In that capacity I was able to deliver results on a variety of initiatives that helped in positioning Kanata North as one of the strongest and most productive business communities in the country. Moving forward, I will continue to bring my experience, determination and passion to advocating for businesses in our city alongside Invest Ottawa.
Invest Ottawa is a non-profit organization with a wide variety of initiatives and support systems designed to stimulate economic development, job creation and growth in our city. Businesses big and small benefit from working with Invest Ottawa. Throughout the pandemic, Invest Ottawa has been working tirelessly on multiple levels to help stimulate our economy, enabling local businesses to utilize e-commerce, and positioning them for success in the changing digital landscape.
As your City Councillor and Deputy Mayor, I look forward to these added responsibilities, and I will bring all my experience and dedication to help serve our city and its businesses.
