The results of the online survey for the Halton Terrace – Jack Donohue Public School Traffic Calming Study are now posted online in an As We Heard It report. The feedback provided will help city staff to finalize recommendations for Halton Terrace near Jack Donohue Public School. Once a final recommendation is confirmed, an update will be posted to the project webpage.
The report shows that 65% of survey respondents supported the “Preferred Option”, which includes:
- 4 sets of speed cushions (similar to speed humps, but these do not cover the entire width of the road)
- 2 pedestrian crossovers (identified in green in the image below)
- An edge line in front of the school (identified in red in the image below)
Next Steps
Once a final plan has been prepared and funding secured, the approved traffic calming plan will proceed to detailed design and construction. These steps could take one to two years to complete.
