As I had shared in June, the Multi-Use Pathway at Fentiman Park will be replaced this year. The asphalt will be replaced on the main path in addition to the side paths, which lead to Hemlo Crescent, Macassa Circle, and Highmont Court.
This will be an improved pathway for both pedestrians and cyclists. The addition of permanent bike lanes on this stretch of Goldridge Drive is a welcome addition to improve cycling safety as well.
Construction is anticipated to start in September and notices have been mailed to all affected residents.
What can residents expect during construction?
Fentiman pathway will be closed between Campeau Drive and Goldridge Drive (south) until construction is completed. Access from Highmont Court and Macassa Circle to the play structure adjacent to the Fentiman Park pathway corridor will remain open, however all accesses to the Fentiman Park pathway itself will be closed.
Residents can expect some construction traffic and activity on Goldridge Drive and Campeau Drive. The roads will remain open to traffic. One traffic lane along Goldridge Drive and Campeau Drive may be intermittently closed.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or concerns.
