Starting next week, the City of Ottawa will be undertaking construction in Kanata North to better accommodate existing and planned OC Transpo movements.
The work will include the removal of the existing bus stop on eastbound Terry Fox Drive, west of March Road, and the installation of a new bus stop further west. The work will also include curb modifications on the northwest corner of Innovation Drive at Goulbourn Forced Road.
This work is required because the existing bus stop on Terry Fox Drive impedes the eastbound right turn lane, and buses cannot make the right turning movement from southbound Innovation Drive to westbound Goulbourn Forced Road without impeding eastbound Goulbourn Forced Road. Construction is expected to be completed by November of this year.
During construction intermittent lane reductions may be required. Signage and traffic control personnel will be implemented at each site as required. Pedestrian detours will be signed at times when it is necessary to close sidewalks. For impacts to the regular bus schedule please visit octranspo.com.
Please reach out should you have any questions or concerns.
