BIOLOGICAL MOSQUITO CONTROL PROGRAM – KANATA NORTH
Weekly report – July 17th to July 23rd 2022
GDG Update
Weather conditions have been ideal again for back-to-back mosquito generations. Our teams in Kanata and additional teams from out of town are currently repeating the same round of treatment performed at the end of last week to reduce mosquito development. That being said, our treatment schedule is expected to still maintain good control of these back-to-back generations. The team also reports a noticeable drop in nuisance from what we had in weeks prior.
We are also this week installing permanent traps that will be in place for the remainder of the season to help reduce adult mosquito populations in the worst-affected nuisance areas.
