Info Session on Cycling & Pedestrian Priorities
May 11 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
I’d like to invite residents to a public question and answer session on Tuesday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m. for the Active Transportation Plan which is currently in the planning stages. The focus of this meeting will be on cycling and pedestrian missing links, infrastructure and policy.
The Active Transportation Plan is part of the Transportation Master Plan, the City’s blueprint for planning, developing and operating its transportation networks for the next several decades. Currently the City is working on creating an updated Transportation Master Plan which will determine the future of transportation in our community until 2048.
Since our communities are so interconnected and often cyclists and pedestrians travel from one ward to another, this meeting is being facilitated by myself and Councillors Hubley, Gower and El-Chantiry.
Additionally, we will be joined by various senior staff members and project managers for the TMP who will be available to answer questions and share upcoming projects for each ward.
This is an exciting opportunity for residents to ask questions and share their thoughts on what they think is important for cyclists and pedestrians.
