On Thursday, January 11 the Kanata North Office held an online Consultation and Information Session on the Kanata North Nuisance Mosquito Control Program. Residents were able to hear from Kanata North staff on the background of the program, GDG Environment who presented the proposed program and who will implement the program if there is support to continue it, as well as staff from the City of Ottawa’s Finance Department to explain how the levy will impact residents’ tax bills. There was also an in-person Consultation and Information Session on Monday, January 15 at 7:00 pm at the Richcraft Recreation Complex, in the Minto Community Room. There will also be three Open Houses in the Kanata North Office at the John Mlacak Centre. Residents can stop by to provide feedback, ask questions, or receive assistance on voting online. These Open Houses will take place Friday, January 19 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Thursday, January 25 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, January 31 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Property owners in Ward 4 (Kanata North) will receive an information package in the mail from the City with background information on the program and the online voting process.
