Le secteur de Kanata Lakes s’est établi autour du Kanata Golf and Country Club. La vision pour notre collectivité comprenait la préservation de 40 % des espaces verts. Ce souhait a été concrétisé lors de la signature de l’« accord des 40 % » (40 % Open Space Agreement), en 1981. Ce document, toujours en vigueur, a joué un rôle déterminant dans l’aménagement de notre quartier.
Je suis déterminée à me battre contre tout projet de réaménagement du terrain de golf. Cet espace vert est très prisé par nos résidents, qui le fréquentent pour leurs déplacements quotidiens et leurs loisirs. Ils ont pris des décisions déterminantes et investi des milliers de dollars en raison du fondement juridique selon lequel le terrain de golf ne ferait l’objet d’aucun projet d’aménagement.
Par souci de transparence et afin d’informer la population du travail que je fais, je mettrai cette page à jour au fil des événements.
Je travaille non seulement avec vous, mais pour vous dans le but de préserver cet espace.
