Earlier today, the Ontario Court of Appeal released their decision on the Ottawa v. Clublink Corporation ULC File regarding the potential development of the Kanata Golf and Country Club/greenspace lands. You can view the decision at Ottawa (City) v. It will take some time for us and City staff to review, but I wanted to send this out as soon as I could. As a general comment, there is a fairly all-encompassing comment at the end of the ruling that indicates that the court sees declaring the entire 40% agreement void as the way forward. As you can imagine, we are currently trying to digest what this means.
To offer some hope, I have already connected with all three levels of government to ensure that each understands its various powers to act here. I will follow up with more information in the Kanata North Community Newsletter that comes out this Friday.
